Fabric Posy Tutorial

Over the weekend I had the privilege of speaking to a group of beautiful women.  Because the pictures in my handout didn't come out quite as planned, i promised to leave a quick tutorial for making easy fabric posies here.  These are such a simple craft to make and they look adorable on hair clips, bags, bracelets, shirts.  Get creative and have fun with your old scraps!

. Start by twisting the end of a 1" fabric strip (it can be as long as you want-to make this flower, I used a 24" strip) and hot gluing it to the center of a felt square.

2. Continue twisting and hot gluing fabric down on square-it should look like a cinnamon roll.

3. When you are getting close to the end, trim as close to the fabric as possible. Then tuck the end and hot glue it to finish it.

4. Glue a button, rhinestone or pearls into the center of the flower.
5. Trim a small rectangle from the remaining felt Hot glue the edges of the rectangle on to the back of the flower.

6. Slip a bobby pin or hair clip into the rectangle so that you can slip in on to a headband, your hair, or your shirt
